The Absolute best for beginners and intermediate learners

Earlier I wrote about the pillars of language learning and had mentioned ‘listening’ as one of the important parts of learning a language. Constant listening is essential to get comfortable with the spoken language. I use a variety of things for this purpose collection of songs, interviews and everything available on the internet. Recently, I started using Spotify to expand my taste in music. Apparently, there are tons of options when it comes to audio entertainment. I listened to a lot of podcasts just to experience the nature of podcasts available on the app. Podcasts are great because they are easy to understand, topics are relatable, many options to choose from and much more.

Podcasts are incredibly beneficial to new learners for grasping an idea of the nature of the spoken language. These podcasts can be heard in the background while working, commuting while going to bed or in the gym etc. You don’t necessarily have to completely be focused while listening to the podcast just use it as a good key to passive listening. Passive input is just as important as active input. Podcasts are a great option for passive listening.

For Absolute Beginners And People Aiming For Topik Level 1 or 2: Tammy is a great teacher, fun to listen to, and is extremely beginner-friendly. I would recommend her YouTube channel too. For all the learners aiming for Topik levels 1 and 2, this is a perfect podcast. I began to watch her YouTube channel for Topik preparation and recently started to listen to her podcast as well. Even if you are not aiming for the Topik test you can watch her videos to familiarize yourself with Korean grammar. Her teaching style is simple yet engaging for a bonus check out her website for free lessons and revision. Beginners do check out her content, I hope it will serve some value to you.

Learn Korean And Korean Culture: If you are interested in learning about Korea and Korean culture this podcast will benefit you. Jerry is the host of this podcast. As a beginner, it introduced me to Korea and Korean culture. It is a bilingual podcast that includes both English and Korean simultaneously. We can learn a great bunch of vocabulary through this podcast. The episodes are rather short, simple, and easy to keep up with. Learn about Korea and its culture in under 15 minutes with this podcast.

Korean Grammar For Speaking: Interested in learning and using spoken grammar, this podcast is your ultimate saviour. Each episode is packed with information on using Korean in a natural way as native speakers. The podcast is in English and can be used as an ultimate guide to Korean spoken grammar. Honorifics are a huge part of Korean vocabulary which are tricky for a lot of beginners, this podcast can save you the trouble of learning them.

Talk To Me In 100% Korean: This is a great podcast for intermediate learners, even beginners can listen to it to get good practice on the listening aspect. If you are looking for a vast catalogue of topic discussion this is a must. You can also catch TTMIK podcast along with their YouTube channel. If you are not interested in multiple podcasts TTMIK has plenty of content themselves which is sufficient for beginners and intermediate learners alike.

Listen To Korean While Sleeping: It is a great podcast to listen to while going to bed. It is not important to understand everything you’ve heard. It won’t make you fluent but it is relaxing to listening to this is on asmr sort of podcast. It is extremely relaxing after a difficult day at work if you don’t have much to sit and study, you can simply listen to this podcast to calm yourself. I enjoy it a lot.

Other Favourites: Breathe in Korean by Yureeah if you are interested in poetry and quotes this is the podcast for you. Essential Korean and Learn Korean: Korean Survival Phrases both are podcasts that will serve as a guide for regular spoken Korean which is important if you are moving to Korea. Korean Storytelling by Coco mom I love this podcast I don't really understand a lot of the stories but it is a delight to listen to while taking a walk in the garden. The Motivate Korean podcast will become your best friend or a learning partner it is a great podcast to keep on your list. Oh! I almost forgot about Learn Korean with David he is amazing, I really enjoy listening to his podcast, there are a lot of episodes on his podcast thus I haven't sat through all of them yet, you can also check out his YouTube channel. These are all fantastic podcasts. All of them will help you in your Korean studies chose one or all of them it's up to you.

I tend to get bored easily that's why I have multiple options available for me but if it's not the case with you, you can choose to just stick with one podcast. I hope it helps.
